Our enrichment programme offers students a variety of activities for a deeper and broader education. As part of their tutorial programme all students discuss current affairs topics every week, receive personal mentoring, undertake key skills development sessions and take part in activities and competitions.
We have three enrichment session each week for every pupil. In these sessions students enjoy a wide variety of activities, including lectures from outside speakers, talks from universities and industry leaders and sessions on topical issues ranging from body image to politics.
For our more academic students there is the exciting opportunity to study the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Encouraging curiosity and creativity the EPQ requires students to choose a topic of personal interest and plan, research and develop their idea to a finished product (for many this is an extended piece of academic writing). This is a fabulous opportunity and helps raise the profile of students on university applications.
In addition, students follow a comprehensive careers programme to ensure that whether they are applying to university, an apprenticeship or planning to enter the world of work they are prepared and supported. We work closely with universities and local industry to ensure that students have the opportunity to visit a range of institutions to give them a real insight in to their workings.
We are always open to new opportunities to support our students but proudly present our current enrichment sessions which include:
